ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Small groups. Focused learning. Measurable growth.
Many students need extra support to master core academic concepts.
In Adelaide Primary's busy classrooms, it can be difficult for every child to receive the individual attention they deserve.
Our Student Success Coaching Programme provides targeted support from our specialist teacher, helping prevent learning gaps from becoming lasting barriers.

How We Help
Specialist Teacher
We employ a full‑time specialist teacher, based at the school, who runs pull‑out sessions for small groups of 3–4 students in our welcoming learning space.
Targeted Support
We use regular progress monitoring to pinpoint students' needs, set clear learning goals, and guide structured, evidence‑based teaching that leads to measurable growth.
Classroom Collaboration
By working closely with classroom teachers, we provide consistent support for students who need extra help and free teachers to focus on the broader class.
Meet The People
Our Student Success Coaching Programme is led by Katie Strachan. A highly qualified teacher, she brings energy and creativity to every session, using a caring, student‑focused approach to help children discover their strengths, build confidence and enjoy learning.
This Programme was developed in consultation with veteran Bahamian educator Kim Kooskalis of Blairwood Academy, a long‑time supporter of the Auxiliary’s education initiatives.
Our Academic Support programme is coordinated by the Auxiliary's Tanya Melich Crone and Nuala Seligman.
