FOOD PROGRAMME

When children are hungry, it’s difficult to concentrate and learn. Many Adelaide Primary students come from households facing financial hardship and food insecurity.

Our Food Programme provides healthy meals every school day, supporting attendance and removing one of the biggest obstacles to learning.

How We Help

We operate a kitchen at the school and employ a full‑time chef and assistant to prepare fresh meals for every student, every day.

On-Site Kitchen & Staff

Healthy, Balanced Meals

Students receive fresh, high-quality breakfasts and lunches that keep them nourished, energised and ready to learn.

Nutrition-Focused Menus

Our menus meet students’ nutritional needs, reflect their preferences, and encourage healthy eating habits.

Meet The People

Our dedicated chef, Evelyn Knowles, and her assistant, Dedrie Thompson, ensure that every meal is healthy, balanced and full of flavour.

Kind and welcoming, they know every child by name and greet them with a smile.

No child goes hungry in the Auxiliary's kitchen, and Evelyn’s pasta bolognese is legendary!

Our Food Programme is overseen by the Auxiliary's Cassandra Price, who keeps everything running smoothly.

Adelaide Auxiliary staff serve healthy breakfasts and lunches to Adelaide Primary School students in the school kitchen in Nassau, The Bahamas as part of the Adelaide Auxiliary Food Programme.
